Meet Our Team

All of the osteopaths at Brunswick Osteopathy Clinic are Doctors of Osteopathy and have completed five years of university.

Osteopaths are a regulated medical profession with AHPRA and all of our osteopaths maintain current practice by completing professional development requirements each year.

Dr Gabrielle Cresp
Osteopath

I have really enjoyed bringing my structural clinical skills to The Brunswick Osteopathy Clinic and have been identified by my patients as having a pretty bubbly personality. Since graduating in 2012, I have learnt and refined my examination and diagnosis to aid in a precise treatment and management plans for my patients. During your treatment, I like to focus on the body as a whole and combine various treatments including soft tissue, manipulation and muscle-energy techniques.

I really enjoy getting to know new patients who visit our clinic and treating a range of complaints, from common rib dysfunction to hip injuries.

Throughout my experience as an osteopath, I have developed an interest in treating women through their pregnancy as well as teenagers and children.

Outside of the clinic, I enjoy keeping active and I am a keen field hockey player at Essendon Hockey Club. I understand and recognise the importance of sport and physical activity in our lives and this helps me to tailor management plans to help keep my patients active.

Outside of work and sport I love a delicious meal, a good board game and weekends away with family and friends.

Dr Emma Wearmouth
Osteopath

I love working with people one-on-one to find the solutions that work for them, allowing them to be their best selves. Whether their challenge is work, study, or sport related, I enjoy helping my patients in the present while building the resilience to prevent future injuries and pain.

I am particularly interested in treating people with hypermobility disorders. I know how challenging the frequent injuries and chronic pain associated with hypermobility can be, and how important it is to manage these conditions in the long term.

I am an accredited lymphoedema practitioner, and can treat lymphoedema with Manual Lymphatic Drainage massage (MLD), apply kinesio taping to assist with lymphatic drainage, and measure and prescribe garments.

I am a proud Brunswick local and I love footy. I play Aussie Rules with the Darebin Falcons Masters - Over 35s team.

Dr Mimi Ferrer
Osteopath

I love working with people to help them achieve their functional and health-related goals.  Whether that's helping them recover from injury, managing chronic pain or supporting them through their health journey, I work closely with patients to develop a management plan that focuses on their specific needs and goals. I love helping people manage their pain, empowering them with the knowledge to understand the nature of their injury and providing them with the tools to create positive change in their lives.

I love treating a range of patients from diverse backgrounds, of different ages and through important stages of their life.

I enjoy treating with babies and working with new parents and their new family dynamic! When treating babies, I use very gentle techniques and work to establish comfort, symmetry and balance for the baby.

I also work a lot with pre and post-natal patients helping them to adapt to the physical, hormonal and emotional changes the body goes through.

When working with adults, I use a variation of structural and indirect techniques including manual therapy, joint manipulation, dry needling, and myofascial cupping, I thrive on helping clients live their best life.

I am a university lecturer of Osteopathy at Victoria University on the days I’m not in private practice.

When I’m not at work, you can find me walking my chihuahuas, catching up with friends or working the land on our bush block in northern Victoria.

Dr Thomas Roach
Osteopath

I graduated from RMIT university with a Bachelor of Health Science and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy). I have always had a keen interest in the human body and how best to live a healthy life, which lead me to pursuing a career in Osteopathy. I pride myself on providing patients with a holistic approach to treatment and management which involves tailoring a plan which is unique and evidence based.

I have experience treating a wide range of patients from athletes to desk workers and everyone in between. I have a keen interest in treating sporting injuries and providing patients with the ability to get back to their favourite activities as fast as possible. I also work at the Essendon Football Club which has allowed me to have exposure and experience with elite sportspeople, their training requirements and injury management.

I incorporate a range of osteopathic techniques in my treatments and also have advanced training in dry needling and cupping. I believe in rehabilitation to help the body heal and prevent re-injury. I will often assess a patient’s activities and incorporate a home exercise program to improve strength, mobility and ability to move through life easily!

When I’m not in clinic you will find me at the gym, outside in the fresh air or catching up with mates over the weekend.

Dr Cameron Reid
Osteopath

Helping people return to doing what they love without pain or dysfunction, and seeing them thrive towards achieving their goals is the most rewarding aspect of being an osteopath. I love that I have the opportunity to provide the tools, assistance and education for them to manage their own complaints to allow them to regain confidence in their bodies.

Over the course of my education and career, I have been heavily involved with several sporting clubs. Currently I am working with Essendon Football Club and Western United Soccer Club, which has allowed me to gain exposure and experience in treating acute and chronic sporting injuries. Along with a sporting background and a long list of personal injuries, my passion for treating sporting injuries and returning people to the sports that they love grew. Coupled with my previous history as an Accountant, I also noticed and began to gain interest in managing the day-to-day niggles and issues which may arise in desk-based workers.

I employ a structural approach to the management of most musculoskeletal complaints, utilising a mixture of techniques when indicated such as; soft tissue, manipulations, dry needling, articulation and exercise prescription. The combination of techniques allows me to meet many patient preferences whilst still achieving optimal recovery goals.

When I’m not in the clinic you will likely find me at one of the many sporting clubs I am involved with, or trying to keep the body ticking over either at the gym or by stumbling around the Maribyrnong river.

Dr Elizabeth Dwyer
Osteopath

Osteopathy allows me to do many things that I love – help others, educate, and talk to people.
I have always been a people person and I like to find out what makes others thrive. That’s why osteopathy works for me. I love to ask lots of questions to get the full picture of what is going on so that I can approach any problem holistically.

This allows me to provide an accurate diagnosis, treatment plan and manage expectations of recovery. I love working with patient’s goals; whether it be training and competition, learning to relax, or striving to find a good work-life balance.

I have been practicing osteopathy for over a decade and I love the variety that it brings. I often treat babies who are brought in by their parents, I see people with sporting injuries, those who are overworked with desk-work, and also treat many elderly people – including those into their nineties! I especially love helping women in their journey to becoming a mother and all the changes that happen along the way.

I believe in osteopathy and what it can do for the human body. I have experienced many injuries over the years and don’t know where I would have been without my medical support team (and osteopathy colleagues) to help me through.

I love to keep active surfboat rowing and weights. I also love the beach and weekends away with friends. I am in a book club and love discussing tricky topics over wine and good food.

I believe that if we are all going to live for many years, we need to be strong and flexible, and we each need to find own perfect balance of this.

Dr Stuart King
Osteopath

I have worked at The Brunswick Osteopathy Clinic since graduating from University in Osteopathy in 2006 and was fortunate enough to become a Director in 2008. I am a Brunswick local and love treating people from this great local community.

I have worked with several sporting teams over the years and have learnt a lot from traveling both domestically and internationally with teams to provide them with acute management and injury prevention care. I enjoy treating and managing sporting injuries to help athletes achieve their best, as well as the “day-to-day” complaints that affect many people such as back, neck and shoulder pain.

I have also developed a particular interest in migraines. While understanding how debilitating they can be, I use finely-tuned osteopathic techniques with the aim to decrease the intensity and frequency of the condition.

Outside of work, I love to play a bit of golf, spend time with my two young children and in winter will hit the mountains to go skiing.
